Dear Networks for Voice in NH Healthcare,

It is with great enthusiasm that I write to you about this week's Cleveland, Ohio, Interfaith Health Care Reform Meeting. On behalf of the New Hampshire Council of Churches, thank you for all you have done to this point in NH for a unified voice for reform.

I have a two minute request. Click onto the web link below for a revelation regarding not only the content (role of faith in health care reform) but also the medium that allow many more than the seventy people in the room to follow along and benefit into the future!!! http://thedifference.missinglink.biz/the-difference/interfaith-health-care-reform

The website has been established by our meeting facilitators from The Difference. This site currently contains important information about the meeting, including:

Meeting Overview
Meeting Logistics
Pre-Meeting Materials (including NH specific material from 2003 and links to an important video from Vision & Voice and pre-reading from The Frameworks Institute)

During the 3-day meeting this week, we will populate this website with all of the output and outcomes from our discussions and work. To access the site, simply go to …

www.faithfulhealth.org

How many consultations have we all attended, taking notes, trying to both participate and record? Here is a state-of-the-art use of technology so YOU can be a "virtual" participant. You will also have access to the entire product of the consultation.

Have a wonderful week, click on the web link daily to follow our progress in collaborating on the critical topic of faith & health care reform. I recommend that you ponder the Four C’s for NH work, as follows …

Candor
Candor implies a safe environment for you to work honestly with each other. You will be provided the opportunity to say what you really feel. Success without honesty is not possible.

Courage
Courage implies having the quality of thought that is willing to get ego out of the way and examine all sides of an issue, to give up preconceptions of how things are “supposed to be.” Paradoxically, it also means holding onto your ground in the face of opposition to encourage understanding.

Commitment
Commitment implies the devotion of effort, thought, and self to the discussion and to the team for the duration of the meeting.

Competence
Competence implies a sharpening of all your critical thinking skills before the meeting begins. Bring wisdom and knowledge from all parts of your life with you and be ready to apply them to the task at hand.

Sincerely,

David Lamarre-Vincent
